Haka Poster

 

Today and yesterday I started on a poster about the History of the haka, Here is mine.

Today Matteo, Milan, Asher and I did a play. The play was called Ancient History, This is the last scene of the play. I hope you enjoy!!!

Upcycled Pot Plant

Upcycling

Equipment: Plastic Bottle, Box knife, Paint-Brush, Paint, Pencil and PVA Glue

Method:

1. Get the bottle of your choice

2. Get a Marker and mark out an area of your choice

3. Get a Box knife and cut out the shape 

4. Get some sandpaper and sand your bottle so your paint can stay on.

5. Get some white paint and 1 paint-brush and start painting

6. Let 1st coat dry then do another one

7. Once both coats are dry you can get a pencil and sketch a pattern out. 

8. Get paint colours of your choice and paint out the pattern make sure you do 2 coats. 

9. Lastly make sure you PVA glue the whole thing so the paint stays on.

For the past 2 weeks, we have been working on Upcycling Pot Planters. Here are the instructions on how you can make one too!

Step 1. Choose a culture and make a sketch on a piece of paper

Step 2. Get some fabric and dye your fabric 

Step 3. Paint your fabric with the patterns you made then add acrylic paint

Today Me and Maikee made a video about a Matariki animation, We made it in an Interview about how does chrome books help with our learning, My chrome book helps me with my learning by letting us research on a greater scale. So here it is, Also here is a question for you guys, how does working on your Chromebook help you learn??

So today me and three other people created a side called time. The reson for it was to get info and to tell how much time we spend on our chomebooks. We made this on google slides and google sheets.I noticed that the most used app was Youtube. The resons for the graphs was for us to find out the anwser to how much time Room 11 spends time on their Chrome-book.

Maori Word / picture match word game.

 

You play this game by 1st you print the game out then you match them together. This game was made for a class project. This game has helped me learn more Maori. In the future maybe I could add more words. I like some feed back so i can make this better.

Easter weekend. By Maiki

My Easter Weekend.

On Thursday afternoon (April 1st) I went over to my cousins house. When we got there i put my stuff in the room we left to go to aunties house to a for a party. @ 12:00 am Me , Ashley (My cousin) and her Mum went back to the house. We heated up the pies in the freezer for dinner. The next day (April 2nd) at lunch time I got dropped off at my house. All we did that day was watch TV. The day after the that My Mother woke me up to go to kaitaia Market. After we bought everything we meet up with my Dad and eat of our food. Later that day me and my Mum went to my Nan's for the weekend. The next day (Sunday April 4th)  Me, My Mum and my Nan went to the Houhora (Hopefully I spelt it right)  Market. When we got there I found a piece of paper with an Easter egg on it, so I went over to these girls and gave them the card then they gave me 2 Easter eggs back.

The Haunting Pt1

Long long long ago there lived two people called Eva and Tane. Tane had a crush on Eva but was too scared to tell her. The next day Tane was heartbroken when he saw Eva and his best friend Mike holding hands. Mike was the only person who knew Tane liked Eva, so Mike started liking her. Tane made a plan to get Eva back, first it started with a makeover ... Three hours later Tane looked like a new person. The next day Tane asked Eva & Mike if they wanted to come to a HAUNTED HOUSE of course they said ¨Yes We'd love to!!¨ and so they set off together Mike & Eva were walking down the street their fingers interlocked, Tane was left out like the Ugly Duckling. His plan was falling into place like eggs in an egg carton.

In the Haunted House there were Melting clocks on the walls, A death bed in the corner. Everytime Eva got scared she jumped into Mike's arms which made Tane jealous. One of the “actors” pushed Mike into the death bed. Mike started dying from an illness that was on the bed. Eva started crying as she watched Mike die. Mike whispered to Tane “stay away from my Eva or else I will haunt you till the point you kill your self” Tane whispered back “You dont scare me” Just then Eva came over and asked “What *sniff*sniff* were you talking about??” She said, still sobbing. Tane held Eva´s hand and said “He told me to take care of you” “Ok…” She whispered. That night Tane heard a weird noise *BANG* *CRASH* It was Mike's ghost haunting him…
